Educational trips out were very popular at Linton, this one must have been particularly welcomed, certainly by the boys. Railways played a vital part in the countrys economy and the hobby of train spotting was a popular one. Lots of young boys wanted to be an engine driver, when they have grown up! Probably hard to understand for todays generation. This appears to be Grassington station, and must have been an an interesting session. I would like to know who the suited gentleman is, may be Mr. Sternwhite, or an official of the railway.
