I would suggest that these events involved the DOE or Outward Bound, I have included them for their
interest and locations. The Tin Bridge over the falls was replaced about 20 years ago with
an all wood structure. It is, I understand the third bridge to occupy this position.
People will recognise the stone bridge as "Little Emilys Bridge", over the Linton beck on its
approach to join the Wharfe at the falls. Don Robinson can be glimpsed taking a photo.
I was present on one occasion when the ropes were slung under the bridge, but do not recall
actually attempting the stunt
I can relate to the chap washing in the cold stream!
